Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice

Earlier in the year Trustees awarded a substantial grant to Phyllis Tuckwell who offer the only Hospice Care service for adult patients living with cancer or another terminal illness such as heart, lung or neurological disease across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire. The 14 bed In-Patient Unit (IPU) and day services the new facility will provide will address the urgent need for additional palliative care for people living in those areas and will be a place where families of those affected can also be supported.

Building work began on site in April and we were delighted to see from the images in their recent report to us that this is progressing well and they remain on target to open in early 2026. Our image shows the view across the IPU courtyard, looking at the main building with the raised beds now in place. It’s great to see they are well underway with what will be a fantastic addition to the community.
