Rowan Humberstone
Rowan Humberstone is a small, vibrant charity in Cambridge with an arts centre and forest school for adults with learning disabilities.
The charity uses the arts as a tool to bring adults from local counties together in a bid to tackle social exclusion. Amongst their many activities, they provide creative workshops in woodwork, ceramics, textiles, print, mixed media, drama and music for people to enjoy, whilst helping to develop their individual social and communication skills and enabling them to participate in a stimulating group experience. They also deliver much needed respite to families and carers. Our most recent grant helped towards operating costs and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves in a report they shared with us recently.
