Space4Autism

Based in Cheshire, Space4Autism is a charity set up by a group of parents in 2005 to provide support to families who have a loved one with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). They initially ran a Saturday club but their services rapidly grew to the point that they are now supporting thousands of people each week offering social clubs, educational workshops, a drop in space, various training programmes and much more. Our most recent grant for core funding has been used towards funding the social skills clubs they run which provide opportunities for people with ASC to learn and develop social skills in a supportive environment where they can develop at a pace appropriate to their needs. These clubs help to reduce social isolation, improve health and wellbeing, develop resilience and coping mechanisms, increase life skills and generally better prepare people for the future. We are delighted to support them with this.
