Purple Patch Arts

Our thanks to Purple Patch for the end of year grant report they sent through which gave us a real insight into the work they have been doing over the year ‘to provide innovative, inclusive, creative learning opportunities that improve the lives of learning disabled and autistic adults’ across Yorkshire. 

In the last year, with our support, over 130 people enjoyed the Learning Programmes they offer. The theme of this year’s was ‘Adventure – The Sequel’ which saw them cover some great topics such as ‘Feeling Good’, Science Week and ‘The Oceans’ when they learned all about sea life and had fun creating their own coral reefs.

Feedback from participants showed that confidence, independence, communication skills and motivation for learning has been increased not to mention the huge benefits of the social connections that were made which is great.
