MahaDevi Yoga Centre

We received some fantastic photos from MahaDevi Yoga Centre recently. Based in the London Borough of Islington, it is the only yoga centre in the UK dedicated solely to therapy work with children and young people with disabilities and complex needs. The charity uses pioneering methodology called ‘Yoga for the Special Child’ and their techniques improve the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of children, young people and their parents, enabling them to build resilience to be able to handle life’s challenges.

Our grant went towards operating costs during the pandemic and we were really pleased to hear that, since then, the charity has since been able to grow their operation, forming new partnerships with community groups, schools and other charities and delivering their service to many more young people and their families.
